March 1, 2018 -- The 2017 Racial Justice Committee's Report to the Community is now available. In the report you will learn about our Health Legal Partnerships, our work in St. Paul with Expungement clinics, and our “Know Your Rights” anti-offensive speech outreach events last year. February 2018 -- Al Harris was recently named co-chair to the Racial Justice Committee. Al also currently serves as a paralegal in the Metro Housing office. In addition, as part of SMRLS’ Housing Alliance Law Office (HALO), Al has an office at John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School on St. Paul’s East Side. Al educates staff about the critical services SMRLS provides and connects families with the legal help they need to thrive. When he is not at Johnson, you can find Al out in the community helping residents living in substandard housing get much-needed repairs.
