Volunteer Attorney Program Coordinator, Brief Services Clinics

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc. (SMRLS) is seeking fill a full time Volunteer Attorney Program Coordinator position to be located in its St. Paul Office. The person hired will be expected to organize, administer and staff legal clinics for clients on topics including eviction expungements, criminal record expungements, wills, and the Ramsey County Housing Court Clinic, to be held throughout SMRLS service area. Volunteer attorneys give legal advice to our clients and help them fill our legal documents at these clinics.

Staff Attorney, St. Paul

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc. (SMRLS) is seeking to hire a staff attorney position based in St. Paul. This is a two-year position funded through the Pohlad Family Foundation to serve low-income residents of Ramsey, Washington, Dakota, Scott and Carver counties who are facing eviction and homelessness.

Housing Staff Attorney, St. Paul

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc. (SMRLS) is seeking to hire a staff attorney in its Housing Unit based in St. Paul.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Immigration Staff Attorney, St. Paul

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services Inc. (SMRLS) is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) immigration staff attorney for its St. Paul, Minnesota office. This position is funded by a grant through the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs to expand SMRLS' capacity to provide direct legal services to crime victims. This grant is funded for this year and is expected to be funded for another 3 years. The position will handle immigration cases for immigrant crime victims.

Family Law Attorney, St. Paul

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc. (SMRLS) is seeking to fill a family law attorney position in its Metro Region. The position is based in the St. Paul office. The attorney will handle contested family law matters.

Staff Attorney for Healthcare Legal Partnership, Mankato

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc., (SMRLS) is seeking to fill a Staff Attorney position in the Mankato Office of its Southwest Region for its “healthcare legal partnership” with the Open Door Health Center (ODHC). The Lawyers Advancing Wellness at Open Door (LAW) partnership integrates free civil legal services into a health care delivery model. The attorney will handle a variety of poverty law matters. This is a grant-funded position through 2019 and highly anticipated for renewal due to its success.

Family Law Staff Attorney, Albert Lea

Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc.(SMRLS), is seeking to fill a staff attorney position for its Albert Lea office. The attorney will handle primarily family law cases. The Albert Lea office is located in SMRLS’ Southeast Region which also has offices in Rochester and Winona. The SMRLS Southeast Region has a staff of 8 attorneys and 11 paralegal, clerical, and other staff.
